Lydia Louise Slavik 29 Weeks!!!! 3rd Trimester!!!!!

This week was somewhat eventful, I had to get a Rhogam shot. take the 1 hour glucose tolerance test which I barely failed :( so now I have to take the 3 hour test and hopefully that one I can pass or I will be calling a certain cousin of mine for lessons on how to be diabetic..... on a positive note we have decided to share the name we have chosen for this little girl Lydia Louise after Wades' grandma Wava Louise and my grandma Norma Louise and also myself!!! She is a very active little girl and is begining to take up most of my abdomen.....

At 29 weeks pregnant, your baby is almost 17 inches tall now (nearly as tall as he or she will be at birth), and close to three pounds (a weight that will likely more than double — and may even come close to tripling — by delivery time). His or her wrinkled skin is smoothing out as more fat is deposited under the skin surface. This fat, called white fat, is different from the earlier brown fat that your developing fetus accumulated. Brown fat is necessary for body temperature regulation while white fat (the fat you have, Mom) actually serves as an energy source.
